HWEA is governed by a 5-member Board of Commissioners who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Hopkinsville City Council. Four Commissioners are “at large” board members (citizens of the city) and each serves a four-year term. The fifth Commissioner is a member of the Hopkinsville City Council and serves a one-year term. A list of our Commissioners can be found on our About Us page.
The HWEA board meets the last Thursday of each month at 12:00 PM at the HWEA main office at 401 East 9th Street, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The public is invited to attend.
